Gladiator Glamour
March is our first month in the blogosphere. So, here we are! Hmmmm, let’s see what there is to talk about. I mean, blog about. Oh, I know! Let’s talk, I mean blog about, my unrelenting search for the perfect Gladiator Sandal.
I have for four years now, pounded the pavement in Los Angeles, New York and online, slipped off countless shoes and buckled and tied even more countless sandals in hopes of feeling like the victorious Russel Crowe.
But whipping off that box top in sheer delight and anticipation, wafting the smell of leather, ooohing and awwwing, each and everytime, I still find myself lacking the Summer time staple. Alas, I am no Spartacus. Here are my woes of perpetual defeat:
- They are too strappy and imply more S & M then Gladiator Glamour.
- The straps are too thin and cut off circulation and leave indentations to boot (no pun intended).
- Too many buckles not enough time.
- Patent or metallic or basic black or all of the above, I cannot make a decision on color and I am not indecisive, quite the opposite really.
So I welcome your comments, suggestions, and solutions. I am all about stimulating the economy; I just need the right glass slipper of gladiators. Right now. ASAP. Actually, four years ago.

So, I’m looking for some Spring/Summer “gladiator” sandals - a perfect way to spend my birthday money - and came across a marriage of a wedge and “strappy” with not so many buckles, see some by Michael Kors “Nash” sandal: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2998380/0~2376778~2372808~2372949~2375535?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=2375535&P=2. Adorable colors too!
